Local Colorado Springs Mountain Bike Riders Launch Advocacy Organization in Colorado Springs: 
Colorado Springs Mountain Bike Association (COSMBA)

Colorado Springs Mountain Bike Association (COSMBA) is a new effort started by local mountain bikers on a mission to establish Colorado Springs as a world-class mountain biking destination. 

The genesis of this effort can be traced to a campaign that rallied the volunteerism of 55 riders to build an advanced mountain bike trail in Austin Bluffs Open Space in partnership with Colorado Springs Parks and Recreation. The work led to the opening of the trail now known as Black Sheep in December of 2022. The overwhelming success of the project ignited a call for continuation of the movement to engage mountain bikers in local trail development and maintenance. 

With the successful build of the Black Sheep Trail in Austin Bluffs Open Space, the group looks forward to future trail projects while also supporting city staff through volunteerism on some of the most beloved trails in the area. 

COSMBA invites the Colorado Springs community to join in celebrating their launch at Red Leg Brewing from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8th, 2023. 

Red Leg Brewing is located at  2323 Garden Of The Gods Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80907. 

This event will bring together the mountain bike community and industry partners to ignite the mission of developing diverse trail experiences which highlight and preserve the natural beauty of the Pikes Peak Region.
