Blodgett Dig #1

We’ve got some exciting news! The very first Dig Day in Blodgett Open Space is happening and we want you to join us!

Registration is required and limited to 15 volunteers.

Details:

When: Saturday, June 28 8:00am-12:00pm

Where:  Wilson Ranch Pool Parking Lot - 2335 Allegheny Dr, 80919

This volunteer day will clear brush for the Fenceline 2.0 alignment that will begin taking shape over the next few weeks.  Work on the trail cannot begin until the initial alignment is uncovered and prepared.

Why help?

Fenceline runs across two land management boundaries – federal and city.  During master planning, our team was successful in conveying the importance of this trail in our riding community.  As a result of that input, a new and exciting alignment was made possible to run seamlessly from federal land onto city land.  To ensure that old Fenceline is not shut down before the new alignment can be opened, Trailcraft is needing help to identify and clear the new trail so that groundwork can catch up to the current project timeline.

Completing the removal of brush and determining alignment will mean that Fenceline 2.0 could be just weeks away from completion.

What to wear: Sturdy shoes, pants, a sun hoody, a hat, gloves, and sunglasses

What to bring: Water, sunscreen, snacks

Lunch provided by O’Boyle Realty.
Drinks provided by Twisted Spoke.

Let’s dig in and make it happen!
