Colorado Springs

Mountain Bike Association

Welcome to COSMBA, Colorado Springs’ premiere trail building and conservation initiative. In 2022 several local riders began working with land managers on the planning of multiple new mountain bike trail building projects in different parts of the region. The first being a new bike-only advanced level trail in Austin Bluffs Open Space just below the iconic Pulpit Rock. With great success in planning, design, and development of this first initiative, we have since tackled projects in Cheyenne Canyon (Captain Morgan’s trail), and Blodgett Open Space.

COSMBA will be working to improve trails, conserve landscapes, and build community through volunteer trail work days, group rides, and community events. All trail users will benefit from the work that COSMBA does. Help us build and maintain sustainable trails and conserve the landscapes around Colorado Springs by making a donation or volunteering for our next local trail day.

A new era of trail building in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs Mountain Bike Association has taken specific interest in building sustainable mountain bike trails in Colorado Springs. Our first trail building project in Austin Bluffs Open Space was completed in 2023. Trail building efforts done by COSMBA are done in coordination with the City of Colorado Springs with all labor being performed by volunteers.
